Needhams Nurseries Tickhill

Our Story

Our family has been growing for 40 years starting with growing veg for our own fruit & veg shop, to then growing and selling cut flowers from a London barrow on the Town Fields in Hyde Park, to the present day specialising in hanging baskets and container products, growing is all we do! My Grandad started in the middle of Doncaster, with some land that he bought after saving his money after serving in the second world war, all he had to start out was a shed and some hand tools. Through hard work that turned into owning one of the busiest fruit and veg shops in the middle of Doncaster, when the council put compulsory purchase orders on all of the land my Grandad and Dad moved everything over to Tickhill in 1978 and we are still here to this day.

We are now the third generation that is a growing and we are still family run and proud to be called Needhams Nurseries.

Attention To Detail

We take quality very seriously, we do not believe that just because we produce a lot that this should bring the quality of our products down, we put just as much care and attention to detail into the first hanging basket to leave our nursery to the very last. Our Family has been in the business of growing for over 40 years and we are passionate about great quality plants.

Innovation

Whilst we know which products are popular and work, we always keep an eye on changing trends and new innovations. All of our products have planting schemes that are tried, tested and popular, but this does not stop us from adding and making changes where needed. We work closely with Schneider Youngplants to always ensure we are staying current and keeping up with the times, this dedication and attention to detail has allowed us to build a strong customer base over a period of 40 years that knows when you buy a product from Needhams Nurseries, quality is always guaranteed.

We believe in making it as easy as possible for our customers to stock our products, so whether you want to collect at a time that suits you or have a delivery we will always work with customers to find the best solution for them.

Everything we do is always with quality in mind, we only use the best products and the best plants. If we cannot grow it we go to people who can and who also put quality first, this way we can ensure that from the first to the last product you have from us they will all be consistent.

Family Run -

Needhams Nurseries started as a family run business and still is, we believe this is one of our biggest strengths. Being able to work with other businesses of all sizes whilst understanding the care, time and dedication it takes to be good at what you do.
